The centrepiece is an oval-cut red gemstone, likely a ruby, flanked by two smaller round-cut red gemstones. Each side stone is encircled by a 'halo' cluster of small clear accent stones, likely diamonds, set within a raised gallery. The ring is finished with a plain, tapering shank and weighs 3.67g. Although the piece is unmarked, the metal and construction are consistent with 9 to 14 carat gold from the late 20th century.
