A Collection of Antique and Vintage Metalware Including a Leeds Commemorative Tankard and Maritime Binnacle Top - A collection of antique and vintage metalware items including a Leeds commemorative tankard and a maritime binnacle top. The tankard is of tapered cylindrical form, constructed from a pewter style metal and decorated with etched topographical scenes of Leeds. The front is inscribed THE LEEDS TANKARD and features an equestrian statue inscribed Black Prince, flanked by scenes inscribed Exchange, Kirkstall, and Town Hall. The lot includes a large 19th century style copper and brass water urn of ovoid form, featuring a domed lid with a turned finial and a brass spigot with a wooden handle. Also present is a substantial brass and copper maritime binnacle top or lantern housing with a circular viewing aperture and internal mirrors, bearing a white adhesive label reading S1200H. Further items include a copper measuring jug with a strap handle, a silver-plated or pewter style rose bowl with lion-head ring handles and a wire mesh lid, and a cast iron flat iron with a rope-bound wooden handle. Decorative brass items consist of a small tray and a three-masted sailing ship ornament. The rose bowl is accompanied by an empty box bearing a printed label for Shobrook and Co, 044, Plymouth.
