A Mid-Century Modern Style Wood Veneer Cantilever Sewing Box on Tapered Legs - A mid-century modern style wood veneer cantilever sewing box on tapered legs. The box is constructed from wood with a warm-toned veneer, featuring a rectangular body with two brass-toned metal rails on the upper side edges and a matching central handle. The top lid is hinged at the rear and opens to reveal a two-tier cantilevered storage system. The upper tier consists of two wooden trays, each divided into three small compartments, which extend outward to allow access to the lower compartment. The main lower section is divided into two parts by a single vertical wooden slat. The entire unit is supported by four angled, tapered legs. A white rectangular adhesive sticker is present on the top surface reading Shobrook & Co 051 Plymouth and a small white adhesive label is adhered to the top left corner reading R1102G. No manufacturer's mark or maker's name is visible on the piece.
