A Collection of Silver and Yellow Metal Items including a Sterling Silver Pocket Watch and a 1924 Half Crown - This lot comprises a sterling silver open-faced pocket watch, a 1924 silver half crown, and a yellow metal decorative stick pin. The pocket watch features a white enamel dial with black Roman numeral hour markers, a railroad-style minute track, and blued steel spade-style hour and minute hands. A sub-seconds dial is positioned at the 6 o'clock mark. The internal case back and dust cover are inscribed with the serial number 1196824. Visible hallmarks inside the case include the letters W.H.S in a cartouche, possibly for the case maker William Henry Sparrow, alongside 925 in an oval, a shield containing three wheat sheaves for the Chester Assay Office, and the date letter R in a square shield for 1917. The watch is powered by a 7-jewel Swiss lever manual wind movement. The 1924 half crown depicts the profile of George V with the inscription GEORGIVS V DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN: REX and is composed of .500 silver. The stick pin consists of a yellow metal shaft topped with a flower-head terminal featuring a central clear stone, possibly a diamond chip or paste. Case size: 48mm-50mm.
