A Southeast Asian Style Hand Carved Wooden Buddha Wall Mask - A Southeast Asian style hand carved wooden Buddha wall mask. The mask is constructed from a single piece of wood and finished with a dark pigment stain. The sculpture depicts the head of Buddha featuring traditional iconographic elements such as tightly coiled hair, a tiered ushnisha, and elongated earlobes. The face is carved with a serene expression, with the eyes closed and a raised urna represented by a triangular form situated centrally on the forehead. The reverse of the mask reveals rough-hewn chisel marks from the carving process and a lighter natural wood grain where the surface finish has worn away. A metal eyelet and string are present at the top edge for wall mounting. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on the object.
