The reverse design depicts a rampant griffin clutching a shield with Windsor Castle, inscribed 'GRIFFIN OF EDWARD III · 2 OZ · FINE SILVER · 999.9 · 2017 ·'. Small 'JC' initials for the artist are visible on both faces. The coin is contained in a clear protective capsule within a black hinged case lined in white satin, which is printed with a gold crown and 'JUBILEE MINT' text to the interior lid.
