A Set of Ten British Coins and Four Commemorative Stamps for the Platinum Wedding Anniversary with Presentation Case - This lot comprises a set of ten British coins and four commemorative stamps celebrating the seventieth wedding anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The numismatic portion features a complete 1947 pre-decimal year set including a farthing, halfpenny, penny, sixpence, English shilling, Scottish shilling, florin, and halfcrown, all bearing the portrait of King George VI. According to the accompanying documentation, these coins have been plated with either silver or bronze to restore their original appearance. The collection also includes a 1972 cupro-nickel crown for the Silver Wedding anniversary and a 2017 five pound crown for the Platinum Wedding anniversary featuring a dual portrait of the royal couple. The philatelic portion consists of four unused 1997 Royal Mail stamps issued for the Golden Wedding anniversary in 20p, 26p, 43p, and 63p denominations.
