A Vintage Electro-Medical Supplies Greenham Ltd Rexine and Wood Electro-Medical Induction Unit in Case - A vintage Electro-Medical Supplies Greenham Ltd rexine and wood electro-medical induction unit in case. The portable device is housed within a wooden case finished in a black pebble-grain rexine material, featuring a leather carry handle and metal latches. The interior houses a black polished control panel, possibly constructed from ebonite, which supports a large induction coil assembly with adjustable screw contacts. Controls include two large black rotary knobs for power and intensity, the latter featuring a scale graduated from 1 to 4. The control panel bears printed text reading MANUFACTURED BY ELECTRO-MEDICAL SUPPLIES GREENHAM LTD. LONDON W.1. alongside a hexagonal logo containing the characters EMS. Further printed markings include numerals 1 to 4 and the words ON and OFF. A cylindrical electrode with a red sleeve is secured within the lid by two metal spring clips. An internal compartment contains a vintage blue and red Ever Ready 126 battery. A circular aperture is present on the rear panel of the case. A black power cable is attached to the side, though the end is cut. A white adhesive paper label to the exterior of the case is marked c1166c.
