This lot comprises five miniature models including Fred's Home, which is marked on its orange card packaging as a Christmas Special 1991. Also included are models titled Old Joe's Beetling Shop, Scrooge's School, Mister Fezziwig's Emporium, and The Parish Church. Each piece is constructed from cast resin and finished with hand-painted architectural details and an application of textured white material to simulate snow on the roofs and bases. The items are accompanied by their original printed cardboard boxes which carry various manufacturer markings. The box for Old Joe's Beetling Shop is printed with the phrase John Hine Studios present Old Joe's Beetling Shop A Veritable Den of... and I AM IN THE PRESENCE OF THE GHOST OF CHRISTMAS YE.... The box for Mister Fezziwig's Emporium is marked with the brand name David Winter Cottages in a red and white stylised script. The box for Scrooge's School contains printed text stating wherein young Ebenezer learnt more about loneliness and grief than Latin and Greek.
