The hilt is designed with a D-shaped knuckle guard, a ribbed grip featuring a copper-tone central band, and a domed pommel. The second item is a spun brass decorative pot or cauldron with a bulbous body and a rolled rim, supported by a flared circular pedestal foot. The sides are adorned with two cast lion-mask decorative mounts. The final item is a four-piece miniature brass companion set featuring ship-themed finials. Each cast handle and the top of the stand is embossed with the characters MAYFLOWER. The reverse of the top ship casting is stamped with the characters ENGLAND positioned above a small circular maker's mark containing an illegible character.
