A Late Victorian or Edwardian Oak Washstand with Slate Top and Barley Twist Legs - A late Victorian or Edwardian style washstand or side table constructed from oak with a dark stained finish. The piece features a rectangular slate or dark stone slab top, set above a single full-width frieze drawer. The drawer is fitted with two turned wooden knobs and has a green felt-lined interior, which is secured by several small circular brass pins. The table is supported by four barley-twist turned legs, which are joined by a matching rectangular lower shelf. The piece features a decorative galleried splashback with a central carved foliate crest. The base is designed to stand on four brass cup castors. No maker's marks or signatures are visible on the piece.
