A 9 Carat Yellow Gold Box Link Chain and Engraved Cross Pendant - A 9 carat yellow gold necklace comprising a box link chain, also known as a Venetian chain, and a rectangular section cross pendant. The pendant features personal engravings, with the name STAN horizontally across the arms and ETHEL vertically down the post on the front. The reverse of the cross is engraved with the date 27.10.43. A hallmark is impressed near the base of the reverse, featuring the characters 375 followed by VIC, indicating the gold purity. The chain is secured with a lobster claw clasp and a jump ring bearing a 375 hallmark within an oval cartouche. Other smaller marks are present on the jump ring but are not clearly legible.
