Bidspirit auction | A Collection of Two Tone

A Collection of Two Tone Glazed Studio Pottery Tableware - A collection of contemporary studio pottery tableware featuring a two-tone decorative scheme. The set is constructed from a terracotta-toned clay body, left unglazed and matte on the lower sections, contrasting with a speckled light turquoise or duck-egg blue glaze applied to the upper portions and interiors. The items feature a dipped glaze application resulting in a distinct horizontal boundary. Several pieces display incised throwing rings to the centre, and the handles are applied with textured thumb-press details. The underside of one vessel bears two impressed circular stamps: the upper stamp contains a cross-shape or four-petal flower design within a circle; the lower stamp contains a triangular or shield-like shape enclosing six small raised dots resembling a stylized fruit cluster. The marks are not legible as a name. This lot comprises the tableware only; the DVDs and other shelving items shown in the images are not included.
