RARE - RABBI TZVI HIRSH WEISS, RABBI OF DOMBROWA – AUTOGRAPH LETTER.
A long letter on two large sides, written to the leaders of the Jewish community of Szatmar on the consecration of their new Synagogue, donated by R. Avraham Yaakov Hirsh – a brother-in-law of the writer.
Letters by Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Weiss are very rare.
Rabbi Tzvi Hirsh Weiss (1818-1897), grandson and disciple of Rabbi Yosef Charif Leichtag – a disciple of the Chozeh of Lublin. Son-in-law of (I) Rabbi Meir Eisenstadt of Ungvar and (II) Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Binyamin Sofer of Pressburg. Rabbi of Seredne (1845), Zborov (1859) and Dombrova. Author of Amudei Eish Lebeis Yosef.
