Letter of authorisation to a Shochet. 1832.
Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Heiman. Little is known of his life, other than that he was a disciple of Rabbi Binyamin Wolf Boskowitz of Bonyhad. Rabbi of Nagyszentmiklos from c. 1818 and corresponded with the Chasam Sofer. His epitaph praises him as being ‘free of sin’. Father-in-law of Rabbi Mordechai Efraim Fishel Sofer of Sharvar.
