A letter, dated 1881, containing New Year greetings written by the gaon Rabbi Yehuda Leib Litwin –Sosssnitzer of Brody, to his mechutan R. Moshe Waks.
Rabbi Yehuda Leib Litwin –Sosssnitzer of Brody (1840-1903), born in Bobroisk and studied in his youth at the court of the Tzemach Tzedek of Lubavitch. Married the daughter of a wealthy chassid, R. Avraham Aba HaLevy of Sosnitza, and became famous as ‘the Sosnitsa iluy [prodigy]’. Rosh Beth Din of Brody (1872) and Rabbi of Smorgonie, Lithuania (1886). Author of Shaarei Deah.
