A rare emotional letter with a unique content. The Bobover Rebbe appeals to the Rabbi of Stanislawow on behalf of his son and successor Rabbi Benzion, asking for his assistance in settling friction between the Chassidic courts of Bobov and Melitz, for the benefit of both parties.

A prominent and revered chassidic leader, Rabbi of Bukovsk (1865), Oshpitzin (1875), Wysnitza and Bobov (1892). In Bobov, he established a Yeshiva, which was expanded by his son Rabbi Benzion, and developed into a network of some 40 Yeshivos across Galicia. Author of Ateres Shlomo.

Rabbi Aryeh Leibush Horowitz (1847-1909), son of Rabbi Yitzchak of Stanislawow, disciple of his grandfather Rabbi Meshulam Yissachar Horowitz – author of Bar Livai, ordained by the Shoel Umeishiv and the Divrei Chayim of Sanz.
