ENDPAPERS OF A SEFER THAT WAS INTHE POSSESION OF THE CHASSAM SOFER, WITH SIGNATURES OF HIS DISCIPLES AND FAMILY MEMBERS, TOGETHER WITH ENDPAPERS OF OTHER SEFARIM OWNED BY MEMBERS OF THE CHASAM SOFER’S RABBINICAL FAMILY.
1. Two endpapers of a sefer that belonged to the Chassam Sofer, with signatures and notes of disciples and family members.
‘I purchased this from the estate of our master the gaon Rabbi Moshe Sofer ztl Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva of Pressburg, hakatan Zalman Lipschitz’. R. Zalman Lipschitz was a disciple of the Chasam Sofer and a scholarly member of the Pressburg community.

‘I purchased this with my means from the estate of our late master the gaon Rabbi Moshe Sofer Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva of Pressburg Meir ...’

‘I purchased this with my means from the estate of our late master the gaon ztl ... Avraham Koppel Singer’. Rabbi Avraham Yaakov Kopel Singer, Rabbi of Lashantz.

‘In the possession of the Av Beth Din of Sharashpatak, hagaon Rabbi Yeshaya
Ehrenfeld’ – stamp of Rabbi Yeshaya Ehrenfeld of Sharashpatak and Surany, a grandson of the Chassam Sofer.
Stamp of Rabbi Meir Leib Frei, Rabbi of Surany.
Signature of R. Kalman Galitzenstein, a member of the Pressburg Chevra Kadisha.
Signatures:
‘haketana Hindel Schreiber’ ‘hakatan David Tzvi br’S Ehrenfeld’. Both these signatures seem to be in the same handwriting, probably of the Chassam Sofer’s daughter.
Inscription:
‘Hayom yom gimel Parshas Devarim 5594. Chidushei Torah besugya de’Ho’il, Pesachim daf 42, masnisin Keitzad mafrishin chalah’ – apparently in the handwriting of one of the rabbis of the Chassam Sofer’s family.
2. An endpaper with the signatures of Rabbi Shmuel Ehrenfeld, Rabbi of Mattersdorf, the author of Chassan Sofer, and of his son-in-law Rabbi Meir Ash (II), Rabbi of Volova.
3. An endpaper with the following inscription: ‘This fine sefer belongs to my master and teacher the gaon ... Rabbi Menachem Ash Av Beth Din of Ungvar and the district, [signed] Yosef son of Rabbi Yitzchak Fried.’ It also has several signatures of Rabbi Shmuel Ehrenfeld – the Chassan Sofer (a mechutan of Rabbi Menachem Ash) and of his son-in-law Rabbi Meir Ash (II) Rabbi of Volova.

4. a small notepaper with the signature of Rabbi Shaul Ehrenfeld, Av Beth Din Siks.
