Copy belonging to Rabbi Shmuel David Jungreisz, Rabbi of Fehergyarmat, with inscription on reverse of title page,
‘shayach le’admo Harav hagaon hamefursam mofes hador tzadik vekadosh Mo’H Shmuel David HaLevy’, signed ‘Meir HaLevy Jungreisz’. And a similar inscription on the first page signed by a disciple named
‘Shmuel, son of Rabbi Y. B. Ostreicher’.
Rabbi Shmuel David Jungreisz (1838-1892), son of Rabbi Shraga Feish of Setshe and son-in-law of his uncle Rabbi Asher Anshel Jungreisz of Csenger. Studied under his father and at the Yeshivos of the Goren David in Balasagyarmat and the Kesav Sofer in Pressburg. Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva of Fehergyarmat. An adherent of the Rebbes of Sighet and Munkacz. Author of Shaalos U’Teshuvos Maharashdah.
