Rabbi Ahron Roth (1894-1947), was the founder and leader of the Shomrei Emunim chassidic sect. He studied under Rabbi Yeshaya Silberstein of Weitzen and other Hungarian rabbis, and received chassidic teachings from a number of chassidic leaders, but particularly from Rabbi Tzvi Elimelech Shapira of Bluzhev. After his marriage he attracted a group of followers whom he taught his chassidic teachings of prayer with great warmth and enthusiasm and total dedication to Divine service. He settled in Jerusalem in 1939 establishing a community and Yeshiva – Shomrei Emunim and became a highly regarded chassidic leader. Author of Shomer Emunim, Taharas Hokodesh and other works.
