Letter by Rabbi Yosef Rafael Taragan, Gabbai of the Mishkenot Shaananim neighbourhood built by Sir Moses Montefiore for the poor of Yerushalayim. The letter describes the urgent repairs to the houses urgently required, and offers to arrange special prayers for the soul of Lady Judith Montefiore on Rosh Hashana.
Rabbi Yosef Rafael Taragan, scholar of Yeshiva Magen David in Yerushalayim, and resident and gabbai of Mishkenot Shaananim.
