Letter sent by Rabbi Avraham Nissim Ashkenazi of Karasubazar, to R. Yaakov Gordon of Bournemouth, regarding the published books of his master, the Sedei Chemed,
and suggesting that he should purchase a picture of the author, with the proceeds going towards publication of his writings. ‘Do not give me extravagant titles, as I am a simple man’.
Rabbi Avraham Nissim Ashkenazi, leading disciple of Rabbi Chaim Chizkiyahu Medini – author of Sedei Chemed; Shliach Tzibur and teacher in Karasubazar. Devoted his efforts to the publication of his master’s manuscripts and authored introductions to some volumes.
