JESSE LEE RENO
(1823 - 1862) Union major general who commanded a brigade under Burnside in the North Carolina expedition, later heading a corps at Second Bull Run and South Mountain where he was killed. Especially rare signature removed from a document, in full: 'J. L. Reno Major Gen'l Vol. 2nd Division 9th Army Corps'. Most desirable as Reno served as Major General for less than two months before his death. Attractively matted with an engraving and framed.
