GEORGE BURGWYN ANDERSON
(1831 - 1862) Confederate brigadier general, serving first in the antebellum U.S. Army and then Confederate Army. He led a brigade at Gaines Mill and Malvern Hill, mortally wounded among his men at the Sunken Road at Antietam. Excessively rare, large and bold signature on a 5 x 1.25 in. slip.
