HARRY S. TRUMAN (1884 - 1972) 33rd President of the United States who led the country in the closing days of World War II and through the re-building of Europe under the Marshall Plan and the Korean War. Signed second volume of his three-volume memoir: 'Years of Trial and Hope, 1946-1952' (Garden City, NY: Doubleday and Company), 1956. 594pp. 8vo. in black boards with Truman’s silvered facsimile signature on the front cover. Truman signs on the half-title page in black ink, adding the dedication: 'To Dennis Stewart'. Very good, with dust jacket.
