VIRGIL ROSS
(1907 – 1996) American cartoonist and animator best known for his work on the Warner Bros. animated shorts, especially the Bugs Bunny cartoons. Delightful original signed color sketch on a sketchbook page, 10.5 x 12.5 in., executed with graphite pencil, blue colored pencil and crayon, showing Bugs Bunny getting up close and personal with the 'Umpire' from the classic Looney Tunes short 'Baseball Bugs'. Signed in pencil at the lower-right corner. Fine condition, and perfect for display.
