A 19th century silver cased Esther scroll, megillah, unmarked, possibly Ukraine, first half of 19th century, the central gilt tube overlaid with filigree scrollwork and the winding handle of matching design against a gilt ground, the openwork crown finial chased with flowers and decorated with applied flowerhead to top, the parchment with Ashkenazic script written with 32 lines to a column, depth 9.2cm, case length (inc. winder) 21cm.
