A RUSSIAN 84 SILVER TEA CADDY BOX TROMPE L'OEIL
A gorgeous Russian silver tea caddy box made in rare Trompe-l'oeil technique. The surface of the box decorated with a naturalistic pattern with bas-reliefs depicting dragonflies flying over the grass. The box's lid carved into a form of stunning fringed inwrought carpet that visually deliberately casually covers the tea caddy. Marked with Russian hallmarks, 84 Silver mark, Imperial eagle, and other Cyrillic and Assay marks. Weight: 256 g.
