Prison Pawiak Warsaw 1942
The prison complex consisted of a male unit and a female unit, called SerbiaIn the years 1939–1944, the Pawiak was the largest German political prison in occupied Poland. According to historians, from October 2, 1939 to August 21, 1944, about 100,000 people passed through the Pawiak prison people, of which approx. 37 thousand were murdered, and about 60 thousand were taken in 95 transports to concentration camps, other places of isolation or to forced labor.The prison was destroyed by the Germans during the Warsaw Uprising in August 1944Prisoner Mieczysław Winiarski who was next in four Concentration Camps: Majdanek Lublin, Auschwitz, Gross Rosen, Flossenburg
