Consultation on 1.6.44Attachments: 1 transport list.ToHeadquarters K.L Auschwitz IThe Blechhammer labor camp is today transferring 85 prisoners as listed inthe attached transport list after consultation by telephone.The warehouse managerBrossmannSS-Hauptsturmfuhrer.Blechhammer was bulit in April 1942 as a forced labor camp for Jews , laterit was asub camp of Auschwitz called Auschwitz III-Monowitz.Overall there were about 48.000 forced laborers at Blechhammer. In January1945 the evacuation of the camp began. Approximately 200 prisoners weremurdered immediately, thereafter about 4.000 prisoners were sent on a deathmarch.This document bears the signature of SS-Hauptsturmfuhrer Otto Brossmann.After using the SS-Infantry Regiment 14 , he was transferred in December1942 to Auschwitz concentration camp. He was commander of various guardunits before he became Lagerfuhrer in Blechhammer in may 1944.
