Mid-19th century engraving of Moscow and its environs.Published by V. E. Genkel in St. Petersburg. Printing from steel F.A. Brockhaus in Leipzig. The engraving depicts: the Simonov Monastery, the Church in the Gethsemane Skete, New Jerusalem, the Donskoy Monastery, the Sarov Monastery, the Danilov Monastery, the Military Almshouse in the village of Izmailovo, the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, and the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in the center.
