A GILT-BRONZE ENGLISH CLOCK, LATE 19TH C.
A superb baroque gold-plated bronze clock. The dial is surrounded by an exquisite openwork ornament in the form of plant stems and flowers decorated with ruby stones. Below the dial there is an oval medallion and scroll-shaped patterns; on the sides are two cupids with palm branches. Above the clock is decorated with a relief mask of the goddess in the crown of sunrays and flower garlands decorated with stones. There is an engraved inscription on the back: "REGISTERED NO 1379".
