WW2 German M42 Normandy Helmet. This helmet is a typical post 1943 variant in slate grey workshop painted in Normandy camouflage colours. There is a heating lot number stamped on the rear skirt but no makers mark. This indicates that it was probably made by Emaillerwerke AG, Fulda or Vereinigte Deutsche Nickelwerke AG, Schwerte as they both used P.O.W slave labour in their factories and are renowned for producing lesser quality goods. Without a shadow of a doubt this helmet is a genuine late war M42 helmet. The interior has the standard slate grey paint, while the outer paint is workshop sprayed in all the correct colours.
