The newly discovered collection of Pamela Rankin-Smith, a socialite and photographer who captured candid photos of iconic figures from the last quarter of the twentieth century, along with her negative catalog and rights, will be presented at auction.

When we held Part I, which was the introduction to the world of this socialite photographer's photographic works, collectors from around the world participated in the auction, setting several records.

Of course, that was Part 1...

The list of signed iconic celebrity photographs by Smith being presented at Part II will appeal to even more collectors. Iconic figures from Actors, TV Personalities, Political Figures, Writers, Dancers, Musical notables, and Sports Icons, will be presented in Part II.

B/W photo of John Dexter by P.Rankin- Smith mounted on art paper /board and signed on the margin by John Dexter. The signature is authentic with provenance. Image size : 6 x 6.5 inches. Mount size: 11 x 14 inches. John Dexter was an English theatre, opera, and film director. Dexter, who left school at the age of 14, served in the British army during World War II and began acting while in the army. In 1957 he joined the Royal Court Theatre in London as an associate director; he then became associate director of the National Theatre (1963–66, 1971–75), director of production (1974–81), and production adviser (1981–84) at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, and director of productions on Broadway and London’s West End.
