Ultra rare half ID tag of a member of the infamous Einsatzgruppen, the mobile killing squads that killed hundreds of thousands of Jews and other civilians during their Aktions in the East. These killing unit squads carried out the most awful and horrible massacres killing women, children and elderly people as well as men. They were formed by ordinary Germans and also collaborators of the countries they carried out those massacres, and their modus operandi was to round up all the Jews and communists in the villages they arrived to, taking them to forests where after obliguing them to dig up their own graves, were shot in their heads or just machinegunned, falling their bodies to the ditches. This one, still readable is a 100% geunuine example of a dog tag of one of those criminals that probably got rid of his dog tag throwing it to a ditch, where it was found. It was ground dug in Lithuania. Condition is relic with one half very damaged by corrosion but solid and with all the text present in one of the halves. It reads Sicherheitspolizei Einsatz-Kdo 32635. Einsatzgruppen were named A, B, C and D, and each one was formed by some Einsatzkommandos. All were under the umbrella of the SD or Sicherheitsdienst of Heydrich, and this was at the same time a part of the SS apparatus.One of the only surviving evidences of the existence of those criminal units, since there's almost nothing left from them: it was secret and no photos of executions could be taken under death punishment and few other items survived since most of them were destroyed to erase any clue of the Einsatzgruppen.*********** IMPORTANT ********** Shiping from our office in Europe.
