Battle Damaged Fallschirmjaeger m38 Helmet KIA Soldier
Outstanding single decal battle damaged relic condition Fallschirmjäger helmet ground dug in Ukraine, in Novgorodka. It is a M38 model. It belonged to a parachutist of the 2nd Parachute Division (2. Fallschirmjäger Division) that was an elite airborne division of German Wehrmacht (Luftwaffe) during World War II.This helmet has the interior almost complete, with leather parts and cushion material that covers the interior still present. The lid is also very solid, with no metal parts coming off. There can be seen traces of the original decal and paint. Helmet has some holes made by shrapnels and maybe bullets. We don't know for sure but it seems that the parachutist was KIA. It is a beautiful example of a FJ helmet with battledamage, which is really nice for display and it's a "been there" item, with lots of character. Taking into account that a helmet like this in perfect condition could go for 6000-7000$ in the market, this one is more affordable and a true WW2 relic got directly from the battlefield, which is a plus without any doubt. This Division was involved in some war crimes during the war.
