A RUSSIAN SILVER SANDSTONE MATCH HOLDER ELEPHANT
A rare Russian gorgeous Match holder made in the shape of a sandstone sphere, with an elegant gilded laurel rim decoration and a gilded interior for storing matches. The match holder is located on a unique silver pedestal in the shape of a delicately carved circus elephant, with ruby-encrusted eyes, vertically balancing on its front paws and holding a sandstone globular on its hind feet. Marked with Russian hallmarks, 84 Silver mark, Kokoshnik, Imperial Eagle, and other Cyrillic and Assay marks. Total weight: 465.7
