Sterling silver gilt and birch Tzedokoh- charity box, Russian, 20th century.
Rare ornate rectangular charity box, lid overlaid with finely decorated silver plaque. Silver gilt doves perched on branches adorn each corner. The inscription ”Charity is equal to all the commandments” in Hebrew is cut out of additional centre plaque. The box itself is surrounded by four plates engraved with diamond design and heavy silver gilt adornments. Hidden drawer at bottom of box.
