Large Figured filigree silver Menorah- Chanukiah, Shoham Simchi, Israel, 20-21st century.
An array of intricate filigree figures perched on smooth silver base, two centre figures depict the High Priest with his gem stone adorned Breast plate – Choshen, standing beside the biblical figure of Moses holding a Torah scroll. The remaining figures are Leviim musicians holding various musical instruments. The shammash features the conductor. Perched on their heads are candle holders in the form of small silver bowls. This menorah alludes to the connection of Chanukah and the Holy Temple – Beis Hamikdosh.
