Postcard to Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger handwritten and signed by his cousin Rabbi Yaakov Ber. Pressburg, [1912]. 

"I come to him with a request to pray in a holy place for my wife [...] that Hashem may speedily send her complete healing ... she has fallen into melancholy and sometimes knows nothing". A request by Rabbi Yaakov Ber a relative of the renowned Jerusalem Gaon Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger author of 'Lev HaIvri' of Jerusalem to pray for his wife, and a request for a Segulah for the livelihood of the sons of his brother-in-law Rabbi Yoel. Pressburg, [1912]. 

[1] postcard, 9X14 cm. Handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yaakov Ber. 

Rabbi Yaakov ben Rabbi Yissachar Dov Ber, a Talmid Chacham and Moreh Hora'ah in Pressburg. Passed away in Iyar 1938. The son-in-law of the Rav of Makau Rabbi Avraham Kornfeld, the son-in-law of Rabbi Yechiel Schlesinger. This postcard indicates that the above Rabbi Yechiel, Rabbi Akiva Yosef Schlesinger's father, was Rabbi Yaakov Ber's uncle. 

Rabbi Yoel Kornfeld - Rabbi Yaakov Ber's brother-in-law who is referred to in this postcard. Passed away in Jerusalem in 1936, leaving a son and two daughters. His son who is referred to in this postcard as the only son that remained in 1913 is Chaim Alter Kornfeld, who was murdered during the pogroms in Jaffa in Nissan 1936, several weeks before his father's passing.
