Sometimes nature will take on distinctly human characteristics that suit themselves perfectly to their surroundings. Such is the case with this tree over the Dora Canal, which appears to be frozen in a ballet position. The Dora Canal is near the distinctly charming town of Mount Dora, Florida, known for its artistic flair. Infrared photographs are different than normal black and white. It takes a special film, or digital camera that has been specifically altered to only capture infrared light waves beyond human perception capabilities. Infrared photography captures the heat that emanates from the subject matter. This will often create a surreal, unusual photograph. Anything cold tends to photograph darker, while anything with more heat becomes much lighter. This effect can most clearly been seen when photographing nature. Sky and water will turn deep and rich tones of black whiles leaves, grass, and other vegetation turn much lighter.
