(1) and a signed booklet by two Victoria Cross winners of World War II, each of them naval officers associated with X-craft, comprising Godfrey Place (3; one an A.L.S. sending his autograph 'with some diffidence that it should appear with so many other so very much more distinguished signatures', and another a signed 8vo booklet issued by the National Postal Museum and entitled The Victoria Cross 1856-1881, for which Place had written the preface) and Ian Fraser.
