Set of German Eagles for Caps.
Set of German eagles for caps.

1.) NS-RKB Member's Breast Eagle (NS-RKB Hoheitsabzeichen)

The DRKB, Deutscher Reichskriegerbund (Kyffhäuserbund), (German National Association of Veterans, Kyffhäuser Association), was formed during WWI, and was based on the DKB, Deutscher Kriegerbund (German Veterans Association), originally formed after the war of 1870-71.
The addition of "Kyffhäuser" in the associations name referred to the Kyffhäuser mountain where a large war memorial had been erected. The goal of the association was to preserve the morale and comradeship of former soldiers and to financially assist its members if required.
On March 29th 1938 the DRKB was renamed NS-RKB, Nationalsozialistische-Reichskriegerbund, (National Socialist-State Soldiers League), by the NSDAP and amalgamated with most of the earlier veterans associations into one national organization. Uniform and headgear regulations of the DRKB/NS-RKB were introduced prior to 1933 and were modified again in 1936 and 1938.
The 1938 uniform modifications introduced a new pattern national eagle for wear on the breast and the visor cap. The new eagle was almost identical to the earlier, (circa 1936), Soldatenbund, (Soldiers League), eagle but had the eagle facing to its left as opposed to the right facing Soldatenbund eagle.

Injection molded aluminum construction, left facing national eagle with a silver wash. The eagle features out-stretched wings and is clutching a wreathed, canted, swastika in its talons. The eagle has a Iron Cross superimposed over crossed swords on its breast. The reverse of the eagle is a mirror image of the obverse.
The reverse has a crimped hinge inset into a recess with crimped retainers, a thin round horizontal pin and a catch also inset into a recess with crimped retainers (repaired hitch) .
The reverse is well marked with embossed numeral, " 19", and, " Ges. Gesch.", indicating Gesetzlich Geschützt, (Protected by Law).

2.) NSKOV Visor Cap Eagle (Mützen Abzeichen)

The NSKOV, " National Sozialistische Kriegsopferversorung" (National Socialist War-disabled-support Organization), was formed in 1930 and institutionalized in 1933, as an associated society assisting NSDAP party members who had become disabled as a result of war injuries.
This form of cap badge was used between 1937 and 1940, those after 1940 having a right-facing eagle.

Stamped alloy visor cap badge, approximately 50mm square, in the form of a stylized eagle with down-swept wings, clutching "NSKOV" in its talons, and with that organization's emblem superimposed to its breast.
The emblem is comprised of a mobile swastika within a circle the circle set against a Iron Cross, and the Iron Cross set against a vertical sword, which has an oval oak leaf wreath surrounding it. All three original pins are complete to the reverse (a piece of one is made up).

3.) German Wehrmacht eagle from Visor Cap. Aluminum, pin is missing, signed: W.H. 39, visible damage.
