Awesome and unique set of silver plated Drakkar & documents. Awesome set that belonged to a German soldier who worked for the Reichskommissar in Norway, Josef Terboven during Nazi occupation of that Nordic country. The set comprises of documents and books belonging to this soldier, but most importantly an amazing silver plated viking ship with an inscription which was given to him by Josef Terboven.The outstanding and unique silver plated decorative Viking Drakkar made with sharp detail with gilded parts and a great manufacturing, engraved with the dedicatory: "Zur Erinnerumng an dir Tätigkeit in der Dienststelle des Reichskommissars Stavenger. Stavenger den 28.2.1942" (As a reminder of the work in the office of Reich Commissioner Stavenger. Stavenger the 28.2.1942). This unique piece has the manufacturer stamp. Stavenger is a city of Norway.Also included is a photo album of this soldier with many photos on Norway and his service during WW2, 3 red cross letters sent from Russian POW camp where this soldier was imprisoned after being captured during WW2, A war merit cross 2nd class without swords, Some booklets and books, Official documents of the Third Reich period. Passports issued during III Reich period to this soldier and his wife (presumably) with missing cover on one but complete, and a metal plaque with a map of Norway on one side and an engraved inscription on the other, dated 1940.
