Можно предположить, что данная пастель является копией с утраченного живописного портрета, выполненного Федором Рокотовым (1736-1808).
Барду, Иоганн (2-я половина XVIII века) - художник-пастелист. Учился в Прусской Королевской Академии художеств в Берлине. В 1775 работал в Варшаве. В 1780-х прибыл в Петербург. Работы хранятся в Государственной Третьяковской галерее, Государственном Русском музее, Государственном Эрмитаже и других собраниях.
