VERY RARE! SIGNED HANDWRITTEN LETTER FROM RABBI AHRON SUDITZ - BUECHLER, RABBI OF SZERDAHELY, TO RABBI BARUCH BENDET GOITEIN, RABBI OF HÖGYESZ, AUTHOR OF KESEF NIVCHAR. WITH THE TEXT OF A DRASHA BY RABBI BARUCH BENDET GOITEIN ON THE SECOND SIDE OF THE PAGE AND IN THE MARGINS.

A most interesting letter from Rabbi Ahron Suditz, Rabbi of Szerdahely, to Rabbi Baruch Bendet Goitein, regarding a shidduch suggestion for his son, together with a Drasha for Parshas Nitzavim by the renowned recipient – Rabbi Goitein, the author of the famous Kesef Nivchar, on the same page.
In his letter, Rabbi Ahron Suditz highly recommends the proposal of a marriage between Rabbi Goitein’s son to a daughter of a distinguished member of the Szerdahely community, and assures him of his friendship and assistance.
Most surprisingly, the underside and margins of the letter were used by the eminent recipient to record a complete Drasha for Parshas Nitzavim.

Rabbi Ahron Suditz – Buechler (1785-1828), a son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Segal of Tzehlem. Dayan of Neutra and subsequently Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva of Szerdahely, where his distinguished disciples included Rabbi David Tzvi Ehrenfeld and Rabbi Yehuda Aszad.

Rabbi Baruch Bendet Goitein (1770-1842), studied under Rabbi Moshe Mintz – Maharam Mintz of Obuda. Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva of Högyesz, Author of Kesef Nivchar, which received warm approbations of the Maharam Mintz and the Chasam Sofer, and was widely studied in the Hungarian yeshivas.
