Rabbinic correspondence dated 1909 between Rabbi Yechezkel Baneth of Szinervaralja and Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Klein of Szilagycseh, regarding the validity of a divorce issued under duress. Two sides in the author’s handwriting, but unsigned.
Side 3 contains Rabbi Klein’s handwritten signed response.
Rabbi Yechezkel Baneth (d. 1913), son of Rabbi Gershon Wolf - son-in-law of Rabbi Shlomo Ganzfried – author of Kitzur Shulchan Aruch. Son-in-law of Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Gluck of Tolcsava. Rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva of Szinérváralja. Author of Meishiv Taam.
Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Klein (1862-1941), a descendant of Rabbi Shmelke of Szollos and a disciple of his uncle - Rabbi Pinchas Chaim Klein of Szollos. Chosen at the age of 18 to succeed his father Rabbi Moshe as Rabbi of Szilagycseh, and served as rabbi there for 60 years.
