Concordantiae Bibliorum - Meir Nesiv - Basel 1632. Rare.

Sefer Meir Nesiv, written by R. Mordechai Nathan (title page states Mordechai Nathan, whereas end of the book states Issac Nathan). A comprehensive scholarly encyclopedia of the Hebrew language. This work seeks to show where each and every Hebrew word is found in the Tanach. This third edition was printed in Basel in 1632, and was edited by Johannes Buxtorf of Basel.

An ancient ownership inscription seen on the title page: “HaGaon HaGadol HaMeforsam R. Moshe Nosson” (?) With a separate title page for sections of Daniel and Ezra.

In overall good condition, bound in original wood binding, worn and chipped. Spine missing. Bottom left corner of title page torn, not affecting text. Small wormholes seen on title page, not affecting text. Corner of pp. 1 torn, with loss of two letters. Paper browned and foxed, typical for Basel editions.

A large folio sized volume, approx. 42x26cm.

Very rare. According to Vinograd, this edition is not found in the National Library of Israel.

Approx. 582 pp.

Vinograd, Basel 252.
