Bezalel silvered Seder Plate, Israel, Circa 1930
From the famous school Bezalel, Jerusalem, a stunning Seder Plate, centre chased with the Mah Nishtanah composition asked at the Passover night Seder., Five hollowed out dish like receptacles to be filled with the symbolic foods eaten and talked about at the Seder table.. Five Biblical scenes chased on the surrounds of plate depict the Jewish nation leaving Egypt carrying the Holy Ark, Jewish slaves at work in Egypt, Moses, and the Egyptians chasing the Jewish people. Gilt accents.
