Second edition ever printed fist being printed in Zolkeveh 32 years prior.
Perush Al ha-Torah, a less known commentary on the Pentateuch (Zolkiev, 1806). Its content is taken mainly from Nachmanides (often copied word-for-word), but without his cabalistic and philosophical interpretations. Jacob quotes many other commentators, among them Saadia Gaon, Rashi, Joseph Kara and Abraham ibn Ezra.
The Tur was one of the greatest Halachick experts in the history of the Jewish nation.
This edition boasts a fancy Shaar blatt and has Haskomos from Rabbis Akivah Eiger, Moishe Soifer , Yaacov Yosef from Berlin and the famous Rabbin Noson Adler from Hannover.
The front and back pages have handwriting that seems antique.
Fair condition, fist few pages loose, original binding.
